ACER products are your problem…..But you can call Jennifer at USA corporate headquarters at 254.298.4402 and complain. If you are selling any ACER products, you are creating problems for yourself while supporting a company with lousy products, lousy customer service, lack of warranty, etc. Here is the problem you are creating for yourself? You can go to any ACER Facebook pages around the world and ever one is littered with customer complaints. Or you can run your own net search for ACER complaints and the list is endless or simply click on any of these links and see for yourself. Here is what happens when ACER refuses to honor their warranty and their favorite trick is to have you send in your product at your expense for “evaluation” which comes back as CID (Customer Induced Damage) as you are the only one that has used the product. That is if you can even get customer service to respond and as a vendor, you never need to deal with ACER customer service. Virtually non-existent. So as a consumer and since ACER will not repair or replace their product, what is your only other solution? To return the product to the store where it was purchased and ask for a full refund. And most vendors try to keep a good reputation, will do that. This way, ACER’S problem becomes yours while you are making them a profit. We all made the same mistake of reading ACER reviews instead of ACER complaints. Reviews are usually always good, the pros and the cons of the product and don’t reflect true complaints. Now I ONLY look for complaints before I buy anything and let their product speak for its self. While ACER has done the best to slow us down on Facebook, it certainly hasn’t stopped us, nor will they. And we definitely got excellent worldwide coverage. I just set up a new email address and FB page, got an IP hider for tracking and I can always use my roommates computer or tablet as well as an internet cafe. All their efforts are a mere bump in the road. But we have kicked it up another notch over which they have zero control. Going directly to their vendors website with our complaints and me covering the USA, includes Target, Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics, Radio Shack, Sears, Staples, Office Max/Depot, Sam’s Club and more. Mi amigos are covering the Malaysia and Pakistan area and we have picked up me more pissed off consumers but basically have heard back from ACER in the Philippines, Africa, EU, UK, Thailand, USA and Mexico. Jennifer from corporate customer service USA and “reached out” to me but has very short arms cause she simply pulled and ACER and did nothing. Since ACER pissed me off in 2012, I have been trashing them around the world for 2 ½ years and their sales are down $89 million. Let’s see? At 2 ½ years, that is about 912 days divided into $89 million is $97,587 A DAY in lost sales!!! That is some serious change. Details
Bought an acer monitor and everything worked great until a year later when the picture became blurry and distorted. Contacted acer and they informed me that they would fix it as it was still under warranty. They had me send it in and then once it got there claimed that the LCD display was broken and that that was not covered. They were extremely rude about the whole thing. Long story short I will never buy acer again. Id rather pay double for something else than deal with a company with such poor customer service and that blatantly rips people off every chance they get.

I purchased an ACER 6 MONTHS ago ,used it for the first time 5 months later ,it worked well the first time however the laptop refused to come the second time . I phoned Acer they had a courier fetch it from my home.I contacted them a few days later and they said that I needed to pay for repairs but they could not tell me what needed to be repaired.

Between my husband and I , we made 5 calls and we got five different answers. We got a fault diagnosis and my IT department said that this made no sense.I contacted the company that I bought the laptop from and the manager contacted the warranty manager from Acer who promised to get back to us.It HAS BEEN 24 hours and I have still not heard from the ACER WARRANTY MANAGER.

ACERS SUCK!!!!

Thinking buying an ACER computer? DON’T! If you are going to throw money away, throw it my way. I made the mistake of buying an ACER Aspire 722 Netbook and within 3-4 months, the case split and a piece fell out. Not only that but the keys stick, it’s slow even with 2 GB RAM and the touch pad has a mind of its own. Some programs I get a flickering line that doesn’t go away. ACER will not back their warranty. When I called customer service, I got some East Indian guy that does his best to void your warranty starting with the case is not covered under warranty. Then he wants you to mail in your computer (at your expense) while they evaluate it for CID (customer induced damage) to void your warranty, but the excuses are endless. I took it to a local repair shop and they said they would have to remove the screen and take the case apart which would void my warranty and recommended I contact ACER, which I did. I ended up contacting a corporate office in Texas and was given an email address of cicserviceops@tx.acer.com where I addressed my issues with ACER. Not only did I get no response, when I emailed again, my mail was returned. They will make it impossible for you to have them honor their warranty. They will make you jump thru every hoop imaginable to not honor their product. My computer guys also said that ACER was their #1 for repairs. Another friend of mine had endless problems with her ACER also. On a personal experience, I sat on my new dual LCD camera and broke the lens. I called Samsung and they only asked for my serial number and said it was under warranty. NO OTHER questions asked. That's kind of Ironic. I have only bought Acer's since 2006 and I am on my 3rd one that I just bought this month.

My first one lasted about 3 years, but that's because I used it hard and did not take very good care of it. My second one still works that I got in 2009 but is very outdated and I wanted a newer one. Both my older one and my new one work great! No problems.

Maybe you bought a dud? It happens.

Acer Laptop S7-392 Won't Start & Won't Auto-Repair

So I did a lot of research on top of the line ultrabooks and settled for an Acer S7-392 laptop, with touch screen & Windows 8. It is a brilliant machine and I love using it. The problem is that after about 3 weeks I opened it up one day and had a blue screen saying something had happened & it needed to restart. It would restart and go through the same process. I took it in to the Acer store. They fixed it but had to wipe everything. It took me many hours to reload my email, software etc. I also lost a few documents that I hadn't backed up. it worked fine this time for 4 weeks, then the same problem happened. I took it back in and they said the same thing - they'd fix it but have to wipe everything. This time I really put my foot down and said if it happens again I want a new computer. They agreed. So guess what! I'm sure you know. It just happened again, about 4 weeks after the last time. So I just took it in and they said they'd fix it but have to wipe everything. I said "no" and that they had promised to give me a new one. They said that they'd have to discuss it with someone else, i.e. passed me off. Am I happy Acer? No I'm not.

Acer is a scam

I recently purchased a 2-1 tablet from amazon which (adverstised a keyboard) however it did not come with one. I did not hold this against acer and went to website to purchase one. Under both the keyboard and the tablet it showed taht this keyboard would work for it. However after ordering it I found out it would not work. So not only did it waste my time but now I have to pay 25% of the cost + shipping to get it to me and back to them for their error on their website. NEVER buying acer again and I will repost this on every site I can. I ordered this tablet early december due to lack of keyboards it has taken me two months to get one and it was wrong one. I have yet to be able to use this tablet as such I will never buy anything Acer again.

I'm thoroughly pissed with Acer. I tripped over my cord and the touch screen cracked.

I get it, my fault, fine.

On their website, they ask you to back up your entire computer before sending it in, in case they can't log in or if it's a software issue. Mine was NOT a software issue, and the computer worked FINE regardless of the screen being cracked.

I just received my laptop back today and they wiped it completely clean. Their reasoning?

"Could not get pass password field". First of all, spell past correctly. Second, HOW DID YOU NOT GET PAST THE PASSWORD FIELD? I PROVIDED MY PASSWORD IN THE PROBLEM DESCRIPTION AND ON A POST IT NOTE INSIDE THE LAPTOP WHICH IS STILL IN THE EXACT SPOT I PUT IT BEFORE SHIPPING IT OFF.

My handwriting is completely legible, by the way. In no way is it hard to read. In fact, It's written quite large, on a yellow post it note, just staring you in the face. I even thought I was being a little too cautious by putting the post-it note on there, because the password is clearly on the problem description I provided, which is a total of about 8 words.

It's not like they would have had to dig through the description to find the password.

Just...WOW. You wipe my computer clean because you can't get past the password field? NO. READ THE FREAKING PASSWORD I PROVIDED POINT BLANK.

TWICE. RIGHT IN YOUR FACE. My gosh. I take full responsibility for not backing up my files, but wow.

THERE'S NO REASON THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED.

POINT BLANK. LAZY IDIOTS.

Acer in Toronto, Ontario - Laptop not working

Bought a Acer laptop for grandson August 06/12 at Staples. Laptop quit working in mid-Sept/13. Took it to Staples. no test was done sales associate stated was battery problem so we purchased new battery at a cost of $123.00. New battery did not solve problem. Went back to Staples and the sales associate ran tests and found nothing wrong. Advised us to contact Acer directly. Cost of computer $711.14 plus cost of battery $122.83 and problem not solved. Called the Acer 866# which turned out to be a call centre who informed me since the computer is out of warranty in order to help us we would have to pay $150.00 for a one year warranty. If I agreed to do this I would have spent $984.97 for a laptop and not be guaranteed that it would be fixed. I asked to speak directly to an Acer representative a d Salan stated he couldn't do that because he only dealt with techinical problems and would not give a number for Acer. We have 4 other Acer computers all older than this one and not had 1 problem with any. First, I am not willing to put more money out for what I believe is a lemon and second my grandson is without a working computer that was purchased for his school work. There is no other software installed,except windows 7 that came with the computer. The SIN # is NXRGKAA002201076C53400, and it is an Aspire. How can this company be trusted when you can not speak to anyone from Acer? Have this set this system uo purposely to discourge people and have them give up? Well I won't give up. I was an owner operator of a 143 unit hotel for 40 years and guest complaints came directly to me to solve. I will settle for nothing less than a new lap top of equal quality or a full refund. My grandson is not going to get behind in his school work because of Acer. If to not provide us with a new laptop or refund I will purchase one for him immediatly and take Acer to Small Claims Court to recoup our losses. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter and the matter needs to be resolved within 7 days so David can keep up with is school work. Thanking you in advance. Received reply from Acer that I could receive help from their 24/7 techinical support.

Obviously they not read my complaint or just chose to ignore it. I guess they figure that rather then satisfy 1 customer they prefer to lose them. Well they have lost me and my extended family which consists of 5 children/spouses, 14 grandchildren/spouses, 15 great grandchildren/spouses.

We are in the market for 3 laptops immediately and I have already been advised by my college tudor to buy Lenovo because they give better support.

The laptop is over a year old and out of warranty. Why would you expect Acer to fix it for free, much less replace it?

If you wanted to have it fixed you could have purchased an extended warranty at the time of purchase or on the phone with them. You declined. You expect far too much. By the way: Acer is not that good of a laptop to begin with.

Stop whining and buy a new laptop---but not from Staples. Buy one online.

You stated in your comment that I should quit whining and purchase a new computer. Did you fail to see that we did purchase a new battery and power cord but neither solved the problem. I feel we have already spent enough extra money on this matter and the onus is on Acer to do something about the issue.

Acer in Auckland, Auckland - Failure to honor warranty

Our laptop started to have screen lines and pixels within one year international warranty period. We live close to a service center but were requested to ship it with an Acer prepaid label. When received they sent photos showing physical damage that was not present on it so they said that voids the warranty. They refused to consider damage in transit because the box was fine. Well, I actually had photos of the machine taken the night before we packed it but after I had made the RMA request showing no physical damage. I get that box damage would be a dead giveaway, but how many times has a fragile content been damaged without box damage? This big multinational corp still refused to repair or replace the laptop. As I told them, I will never buy an Acer product again.
