I recently shipped out a $900 Acer Aspire Touch 17" Laptop to be repaired. It had a shattered laptop screen at the top right-hand corner. I have insurance through Asurion Warranty Logistics that i purchased with the product. I was informed of every aspect of the repair from the date it was received, to the date and time it was returned. The PROBLEM was when it was returned, it was worse than when I sent it out. 1. My Laptop was in the original box that I sent it in. 2. The same damage was in the exact same area as when I sent it; And some... (Coincidence? I Think Not!) There was a repair Service Report slip that accompanied the product.(there was even a plastic sheet covering the screen as if it was repaired) 3. I called to complain, and all they could say is that they would send another shipping box and labels to re-ship my item once more. They promised that I would not be charged with any shipping fees. This convenience perk already came with the insurance, so what are you promising or rectifying for the inconvenience? Terrible Service!!! I'll up-date for future services.

Acer Laptop screen cracked due to missing screw. Left rear case screw cam loose or fell out, causing the top to bulge and wedge between body and screen. The screen then cracked because it was not noticed when trying to close the laptop. The laptop is under warranty, but they will not replace or fix it. take them to small claims court, it's easy. They have until Friday 25th to contest, if not I win by default.

Acer in Appleton, Wisconsin - No contact number no human help!

I purchased a acer aspire 5733z-4851 about a 2 years ago. never seemed to work properly? constantly had problems...took forever to boot up lost words or inserted words in the center of a sentence etc. dvd never worked like it should and a host of other problems. tried more times than I can remember to speak to someone (human like a live person) to make a long story short I finally lost my temper and smashed the *** thing! yes it cost me 400.00 bucks...but I am rid of a product that was a major pain in the butt! I will never buy another acer product or will I ever encourage anyone I meet to but any acer products. I know I am just one little past customer....but I am a very unhappy customer! I am looking at purchasing a new laptop...and acer won't be one of them!!! Terrence Peters

Acer Aspire 5750-6866: They Tried

You are so dumb. You are really dumb. Who puts the power button practically on the SIDE of the laptop? Where you are highly likely to accidentally touch it and accidentally turn it off? Why would you put it RIGHT ABOVE where the charger cable goes? This means that whenever you pick up or put down the laptop the wrong way, the charger pushes up on the button and it turns itself off. I mean, this is really a matter of design issues, but when it affects the functionality of the laptop, this is just too frustrating to not complain about on the internet. Would not recommend an Acer to anyone looking for a laptop. No matter how strapped for cash.

Acer/Microsft Collusion in need of a boycott

In May of 2013, I purchased an Acer E1-571 laptop after checking the CPU's specs on Intel. The Intel chip in the laptop was an i5 3320M, which had an impressive list of features, including VT-d and VT-x instruction sets, which aid in using virtualization. To make a long story short, what I eventually realized, is that their choice of UEFI (the new BIOS), did not allow access to the Intel features; so they could be turned on or off. Actually they dropped 2 or 3 menus like "Advanced" and "Power" from the typical UEFI menu list, ON PURPOSE ! Why ? Most likely they received kickbacks from MS to do so. Why ? Because MS doesn't want you to keep using their older products that you've already paid for ! They want you to buy their NEW operating systems 7,8,9...etc. One of the many consequences of this policy, is that you now can't use all the features included in the Intel processor, can you say "bait and switch"? Another is trying to make it more difficult to install a different operating system, say Linux. Of course with our byzantine legal system, it will take the Supreme Court five years to finally hear this case concerning Microsoft's collusion with the manufacturers and Insyde software, so I'd like to suggest a boycott of Acer's computers. Why ? Because they could easily solve thousands of their consumers problems, by simply offering a different BIOS (or upgrade) for the affected models. BUT THEY WON'T ! And only YOU can punish them. I believe many in Europe have already started a boycott, let's join them and hope it deters other manufacturers from following in this protectionist conspiracy.

Acer - 3 Years free anti virus not activated

My desk top S/N UDVD9SI325C4037004 and Version IC5621.I purchased at Acer Mall Kakinada,AP in the Month of March 2013.Dealer told me this system 3 years Anti virus free but from the day of installation Anti virus has been not activated.I tried to call my dealer kakinada ACER Mall.He is just escaping my call.Iam trying to call toll free numbers still no use many times nuber busy please advise some body how to get anti virus product key.And also this product power socket plgs are loose connections.Iam not satisfy with product and i advice dont go for ACER

Acer Aspire One 722

This is the worst laptop i have ever had. I purchased it so that I could take it with me when I was spending days and nights at an out of town hospital with my husband. This sticks runs so slow you can take a nap its horrid. I have wasted my money on it and can no longer afford to purchase a laptop since my husband passed away. I will never I repeat NEVER purchase another product from them. I have contacted them several times about these issues and they never ever responded to me. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ACER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree acer junk,, new computer 2 months old , windows quit loading ,,its a money ploy ,,called acer warranty ,they said to send in for repairs,,,they hinted its a virus,, yeah right,,they want money,,, never again acer.!!! bought a new dell we'll see how long this one works. DON'T BUY ACER ,,,YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!

acer customer care sucks ***. I bought a laptop that was in its warranty (an acer apire one to be exact) and they have decided to charge me £300 for a repair and £55 to send my pc back unfixed. I have the letter here that proves the warranty is valid if anyone wants to see it avoid these guys you will regret it trust me! full site here http://acersucks1.blogspot.co.uk/ goes into a lot more details about the awful experience I had with these *** artists. I bought an acer laptor aspire e1-531 in July, 2013. Since I bought it there were WIFI problems.

Now after 3 months of diagnosing the problem the authorized service centre sent it back to me with a note saying there was nothing wrong with the unit and they can't exchange it.

As funny as it sounds this is the first laptop I have ever bought as I was always a desktop fan but never again in my life will I buy acer or recommend it to anyone I know. Simply a substandard product.

Acer in Kingston, Ontario - Junk Keyboard

I cannot complain strongly enough about how awful I think this Acer laptop is. The keyboard is useless beyond belief. Sometimes you hammer the key and nothing is typed, and sometimes you bareely touch it and you get two of the same characeter (NNB x2!!). My keyboard has been replaced once under warranty but there is no discernable impro vvement. (NB this typo!!) Acer is a "two for onne (NB!!)" experience - first and last time. Never again. It makes doing any sort of work consideraly slower as you have to go back and check the keybordd induced errors. I have ownedd one othrr laptop - and IBM - nd severl desktops, but I have never before encoutnetred this sort of problem.
