I purchased an Acer laptop, Aspire ES1-511-C0DV-US. Approximately 6 weeks later, I set the computer down on a table.
When I next looked at the computer screen, I noticed that the LCD was damaged on the inside. Acer has notified me that the repair isn't covered under warranty. The warranty paperwork included with the product states that the warranty excludes damage due to abuse. However, as I explained to the Acer reps, the computer was not abused and was only subjected to ordinary use.
The exterior of the computer shows no evidence of damage or mistreatment.
Thus, the product should be under warranty. If the product cannot withstand normal use, then there is a problem with the product.
